As part of our representation it will be helpful to have all relevant records and information assembled. I suggest that you start looking now for any documents which may be needed. Check desks, safety-deposit boxes, bank boxes, or other places where documents might be found, or hidden.

Please supply copies of the following which apply to your issue:

• Written contracts (oil and gas leases are written contracts)
• Oil and gas leases
• Legal descriptions of the properties involved
• Deeds (which may be pertinent)
• Any letters or other communications with oil companies or landmen
• Information about previous leases or legal proceedings
• Any written agreements or notes between you and the other party
• Any financial documents concerning the past and present financial status of the entities involved
• Partnership agreements, corporations, or other documents showing any business interests
• Real estate tax bills, assessments or appraisals
• Invoices
• Pay stubs
• Financial statements (prepared when borrowing money)
• Employment contracts or any explanations of benefits from your work
• Job applications and curriculum vitae
• Canceled checks, receipts or credit card records
• Retirement plan statements, including IRAs, and values as of date of marriage and present value)
• Insurance policies, (including life, medical, health, or homeowners' insurance)
• Bank account information and bank statements
• Safety-deposit box information (you will want the bank to verify an inventory if possible)
• Any evidence you have such as photographs or letters
